1. Docking Capacity
800 foot dock can easily accommodate large vessels.

2. Warehouse Facility
20,000 sq. ft. warehouse with security and sprinkler systems. The warehouse is USDA approved for handling Titles II and III food commodities (PL 480).

3. Cargo Storage
Large storage area and marshalling yard for containers, forest products, coated pipe, structural steel, machinery.

4. Rail Spur
The Burlington-Northern rail spur gives easy access to the U.S. and Union Pacific rail system.

5. Highway Access
Immediate access to the future corridor of I-49, presently Hwy 90. The Port is just one hour from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lafayette via the new four lane highway.

The Port of Morgan City is USDA approved and well equipped to handle your shipping needs. We can handle bulk, break-bulk, project and container cargoes. The port designation is MC assigned by KCCO.

2010-01-15   Swearing-In Ceremony   SWEARING-IN ceremonies were held Monday to install Joe Jones of Morgan City as a member of the Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District board. Jones replaced Willie Tezeno, whose term expired. Administering Jones the oath was board attorney Gerard Bourgeois. Jones joins Deborah Garber, Greg Aucoin, Bill New, Raymond “Mac” Wade, Bill Pecoraro, Jerry Gauthier, Matt Ackel and Duane Lodrigue on the port commission.
